Head off on a luxury experience that takes you right to the heart of India’s technicolor Holi festival, mixing exclusive access to the celebrations at Udaipur Palace with the cultural highlights of the Golden Triangle. You’ll begin your Indian experience in the mega-city of Delhi, zipping around by tuk tuk and sampling tasty street food as you take in its incredible colour. Then board the train to Agra, where the Taj Mahal sits as a staggering testament to the love of Shah Jahan for his third wife. You’ll witness a spine-tingling sunrise here, then speed west across Rajasthan to Jaipur, stopping off en route at the magnificent Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Next, you’ll see Jaipur’s famous sights by bike and head into the wilderness for a very special dinner under the stars, with elephants!

After this introduction to the varied sights of the Golden Triangle, it’s time to immerse yourself in the Holi celebrations: we’ve secured special access to the heady Holi Danan ceremony at Udaipur Palace which signals the start of the celebrations in a whirl of music, dance and horse parades. You’ll return the next day with an exclusive invitation to the famously colourful celebrations in the Royal Family’s garden, from where you can watch the powder paints and rainbow-hued water bombs begin to fly before joining in the action. Afterwards, there’s time to visit the palaces, markets and bazaars of Udaipur, before rounding off your Indian adventure with a magical boat trip on Lake Pichola.
