Flying south, you’ll arrive in a very different Chile: a wild and unspoilt landscape of jagged mountains and craggy coastlines. Arriving at the Magellan Strait, you’ll travel by boat to Marta and Magdalena Islands where the thriving ecosystem includes elephant seals, dolphins and some 150,000 penguins. Then head high into the wilderness of Torres del Paine National Park; vast glaciers, crystalline lakes and ice-encrusted peaks provide the dramatic backdrop as you explore by boat and on foot. You’ll finish your time in Chile with three nights at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel, which sits beside tranquil Lake Sarmiento, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
