Held in the balmy summer of the Tuscan Riviera from July 12 to August 24, the much-loved Puccini Festival is one of opera’s most exciting events. Attracting 40,000 spectators every year, the festival is set in a specially-built, open-air theatre on the banks of Lake Massaciuccoli. The area was chosen because Puccini crafted many of his famous works here, you can visit his lakeside villa which has been converted into a museum and is a short walk from the opera theatre.

This summer marks the 65th anniversary of the festival, with performances of Madame Butterfly, Tosca and Aida amongst others, and we’ve devised a two-night break which includes tickets to the opera. Enjoy what are undoubtedly some of the most atmospheric opera performances you can experience, and for convenience we will book places on the the hotel's own return shuttle bus to the festival. (Executive car transfers are also available on our Extras tab). With all eight performances and a variety of ticket categories to choose from, we’ve made this itinerary as flexible as possible.
