"I felt like a fairy-tale princess" Carla dS. Feb 2019
Don't just watch Strictly! Dance at a real fairy-tale ball yourself - even if you've never danced before. Steeped in glitz & glamour, Vienna’s balls are once-in-a-lifetime affairs, we have exclusive tickets, coupled with a 2 hour lesson there to get even novices dancing…
What makes this experience awesome:

We’ve secured hard-to-get tickets to a selection of 2020's most exciting Viennese balls. These events may have a long history, but they’ve morphed into multi-generational, spectacular affairs that go on well into the early hours. Our chosen balls are the Blumen Ball, which takes place in Vienna’s majestic Rathaus; the Boku, Juristen and Wiener Wirtschaft Balls, which all take place in the historic Hofburg Palace, and the Bonbon Ball, which takes place at the Wiener Konzerthaus. The Blumen Ball, or Flower Ball in English, is a particularly mesmerising experience, as for this night only the Vienna Rathaus is fabulously decorated with 100,000 flowers, each one as vibrant and delicate as the next.

The Boku Ball is held in the Hofburg's grand ballroom by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (called Bodenkultur in German) and is often themed. The Bonbon Ball - Vienna's sweetest ball - offers a night of dancing and indulgence, culminating in the reward of the title of 'Miss Bonbon'. The less whimsically named, yet no less romantic, Wiener Wirtschaft Ball (Ball of the Viennese Economy) and Juristen Ball (Ball of the Legal Profession) are both held at the historic Hofburg Palace. We have added these Saturday events to our Viennese Ball program for those who are limited to weekend travel.

If you’re nervous about the idea of strutting your stuff on this prestigious stage, or you simply need to brush up on your waltz, don’t worry, your trip includes a two-hour dance lesson at the illustrious Elmayer Dance School in Vienna on the afternoon before the ball. This lesson is designed to get even complete novices dancing, with an experienced teacher on hand to help hone your technique and prepare you for the ball.

You’ll also have free time to explore Vienna, a city steeped in imperial grandeur. The Habsburg emperors left their capital with a rich legacy of magnificent architecture, from the sprawling Hofburg Palace complex to the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, one of the world’s most impressive collections of European art. The foodie scene here is an increasing part of the city’s appeal, with a host of innovative restaurants pushing Austrian cuisine in exciting new directions, while Vienna’s famous coffee houses are something of an institution.
