After a visit to Jaipur’s stunning Amber Fort, you’ll hotfoot to the important Hindu pilgrimage town of Pushkar, home to over 500 temples and a holy lake.
Each year the population of Pushkar swells dramatically, as 400,000 farmers, traders, villagers and tourists descend on the town for the Camel Fair, among the world's largest and most famous. Camel beauty contests, street food stalls and bustling bazaars combine to make this a truly unforgettable experience. The festival kicks off with a race, followed by days of music and performances. You’ll also see devotees bathing in the lake, which is lit up in the evening by hundreds of oil lamps floating across the water, making a beautiful sight to bring your adventure to a close.
