"We had a lovely time on honeymoon thank you Awesome Experiences" Natasha V. Nov 2018
Take the ultimate trip to Mexico’s unique Dia de los Muertos festivities, as featured in recent movie Coco and Bond classic SPECTRE, as you jet off on a private adventure exploring the best of the country’s most famous celebration, coupled with a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the ancient pyramid city of Teotihuacán.
What makes this experience awesome:

A colourful celebration of life and death that includes ancient customs, vibrant costumes and incredible parades, Día de los Muertos is believed to be the oldest festival in the world. It’s now a public holiday and a huge part of Mexican culture so our trip has been designed to include as much as possible of its heady mix of pagan and Christian traditions. Starting in Mexico City, you’ll acquaint yourself with the compelling mega-city by tasting chocolate, touring its must-sees and seeing the incredible ofrendas devised by its largest university.

Then make for the vast ancient city of Teotihuacán, to take to the skies by hot air balloon as the sun rises over its temples. Next, you’ll visit blooming marvelous Dias de Los Muertos celebrations in the flower-picking town of Atlixco, and make for the colonial city of Puebla and the ruined pyramid of Cholula. Head back to Mexico City towards the end of your trip, for foodie treats in Polanco and a cultural take of the celebrations in Coyoacan. This experience culminates in an unforgettable trip to the village of San Andres Mixquic, where the Day of the Dead celebrations are renowned as some of the most captivating and authentic in the country.
